Case Study - Masco Corporation
When Masco Corporation, one of the largest manufacturers of home improvement products in the world, approached Web on High, they already had a multitude of different websites representing their diverse range of companies and products. All of these websites had been developed and promoted in different ways, but all had one thing in common - they failed to attract any unsolicited business for the company.
Masco wanted Web on High to show them where they were going wrong with their internet strategy, and then to develop an internet presence that would attract new business.
The concept that Web on High suggested was to build multiple websites, the initial aim of which would be to provide information both on home improvements for the bathroom and Masco services in particular; and for those websites to become known for the information they provided. The information would eventually lead through to the Masco product range.

Initially, Web on High examined Masco’s target market, looking specifically at the words people were using in the search engines when looking for home improvement sites. The resulting web sites were developed around these particular key words.
As part of the build, Web on High designed a supplier database under the heading ‘find your local bathroom supplier’. The aim of the supplier database was to enable a visitor to find a local supplier of their chosen bathroom products. The database presently holds details of over 400 uk suppliers by county.
The result? Masco not only have a suite of fantastic sites, but they also have search engine prominence due to the way in which the web sites have been developed. In addition, the sites due to their design and navigation have been featured in various publications including The Times - all of which has meant an increase in unique visitors in excess of 50,000 each month (and rising!).
Web on High continue to work closely with Masco Corporation to further develop their internet strategy, with a view to directing their visitors through to purchase Masco products.
