Press Release: Supporting the next generation
The business of web design and production is naturally seen as a young person’s domain. Whilst the strengths of a web presence are obvious to us all, and now the norm, it is the mix of genuine good business sense with youthful exuberance and enthusiasm for the ‘new’ that really sets good web design companies apart.
MD of Web on High, Alan Eager, has recently taken steps to prove this point by collaborating with Thames Valley University’s Faculty of Arts, in providing a series of presentations to new media students on the reality of web design in industry. He recently presented the annual award to students at their ‘Fusion 05’ Awards Dinner. The event was the culmination of a range of graduate events held in Reading, Ealing, Hammersmith and the City.
Alan Eager commented “I see our business of web design and our involvement with TVU as an important marriage of skills and opportunities. We provide valuable work experience for new media students and help to open their eyes to the world of work”. He went on to say “We demonstrate how their new found skills can be put to practical use in a commercial environment. At the same time, my company - Web on High - gains through close involvement with the next generation of web designers, who are unfettered by the more mundane demands of the workplace and are better placed to truly ‘push the envelope’ when it comes to new directions and innovative approaches to the www.”
Web on High works for a wide range of businesses and organisations throughout the UK. Their clients represent all types of activity, whether business to business or business to consumer but all have one aspect in common - the need for a website that creates new business.
